I had a prepaid parcel (2 sarees) sent from Ernakulam with a door-to-door service. Even though parcel is light, the local agent gave a lame excuse that the parcel is too heavy for them to make a home delivery and that I need to make additional arrangements to have it picked up from their office at my expense. When complained about the unsatisfactory service, their response was to go and complain to the sender. This is not the first time I was on the receiving end of their incompetent service and rudeness. I used to bring in lots of Assam tea through this courier service. They trashed my tea shipments and stopped delivering to home just 1km away from their office. Had enough of them...will never ever use them again and will never recommend them to any sane people. If this business was in overseas, with their inefficiency and rudeness it would have shuttered the doors in no time. This can happen only in god's own country.

They also don't weigh the parcel for the charges and ix their own charges. One courier sent to me was not delivered and also not returned to seller. No response from Staff at Mananthavady branch as well.

You have to go up steep unsafe steps to pick up your package. If you need both your hands to carry the package it is unsafe to come down the steep steps with no hand on the bar. Also dtdc should be delivering to the door and we shouldn't have to drive half an hour to pick up our packages. Really poor service by DTDC.
