With a modest beginning in 1938, C. M. Sc. College has now come to occupy a remarkable place in the academic arena in Bihar setting benchmarks in providing quality education thought competent faculty, excellent infrastructure and close association with the society. Today it may state with pride of an impressive cluster of five campuses spread over 8.15 Acre. The jewel in the crown has been the Community College scheme of University Grants Commission. Approximately 3,000 students from different parts of the country are learning in the College to make a different in their lives. Student are provided board, lodging, education and vocational training. Our students have provide there potentials year after year by securing excellent results not only in the University examinations. The achievements of the College, both in terms of research and excellence standards of academic programmers, have widely been acclaimed, The College attracts students from all over the country. It is the first constituent College of L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga and Community College of Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. Over the last 80 years and more, the College has not just kept pace with the times; it has often taken a lead in introduction of programmes in emerging areas. The College today offers Undergraduate, Vocational, Postgraduate, Community Programmes as well as Doctoral level programmes in Science subjects. A rich heritage of academic excellence, a strong commitment towards creation and constant up-graduation of academic infrastructure, constant efforts to develop effective teaching skills of its faculty and to provide an environment that promotes good quality research, and above all, intake of the best talent have placed C. M. Sc. College amongst the frontrunners in the domain of Science education and research. Width student drawn from many states of our country, the Institution has endeavoured to maintain an all-Indian character. In the year science it was established, the College has produced more than 45,000 undergraduate and over 10,000 postgraduate students width various specializations in the subjects concerned. The active research programmes of the College have produced a number of doctoral & post-doctoral theses.
