Never ever use Indian Posts for foreign consignments. Those shipments will reach this Foreign Post office in Chennai. These people need decades to process the shipment. I still wonder, what they would benefit by just delaying our parcels. Someone has to take serious action on these people.

Worst experience. Stolen items especially expensive ones - scarf hanger, chopping boards, art kit, and a beautufil knife set. And to top it all they slapped customs duties on used goods .... nearly 6000 to get my stuff. Every package inside each box been opened and checked. Good itens removed and not even resealed properly. They retaped the boxes and sent it to the post office. I wonder where I should complain?

My parcel was blocked in the Chennai post office for more than a month...what you are doing. Please through your landline phones and close the post office. Noting happening there.. Very disappointed

A parcel was sent to me from Germany on 20.12.2021 through DHL. I did not receive it yet. It is almost more than a month. I have been trying to reach Chennai office but no one attends the call. Shame on them. I also heard that most parcels received are retained by them citing various reasons. Now I doubt whether I will be receiving the gifts that were sent to me.

I have booked consignment from GEAR BEST site and I am yet to receive the consignment ( smart watch ) which is on hold with no update with foreign post office and no update shared expect asking to wait all the time until the delivery has happnened. Not sure when will it happen, when I will receive my package. GOD only KNOWS.I would rate 0 stars but no option for the same as to select minimum of 1 in the ratings.

My package was shipped from India on 21st January. Usually It takes 13-15 days to reach Japan. But when i tracked the consignment it shows that until 24th it was in chennai foreign post office chennai. The status shows that from 24th till today its been bagged and not yet shipped . Also while we sent it from India the post office officials say that the package is at senders risk and we must not raise any complaints . I am going to take their pathetic service to CM.

We sent kids wrist watch which we bought it from Macy's during Christmas sale to send to india. Now came to know that customs duty for that Rs 10,000 the watch itself ( 2 watches total cost $100). Its ridiculous duty calculation. Now asked postal dept to return the item because 7000 Rupees product nobody wants to pay 10000 as tax. Its ridiculous

Worst experience, I am from Kerala I thought Kerala government are irresponsible but not.. how many times I called, no one picking up the phone. What the hell they are doing? Why the superior officers not taking action against them. I checked the review also, all of them are mentioned a complaint. Even there is nothing to say as positive. When I call them I thought they were busy but it’s not bcoz most of them have complaint about the phone call. We are also hardworking to make money and send some goods from outside of India or sending from India to any foreign country. Actually I’m not supposed to say that but anyway I’m begging to Chennai government to post some deserved person there. May be that’s a request of all the immigrants/ foreigners

Chennai Foreign Postal Service comprise of mostly incompetent oafs who do not know how to check products and/or which product should and should not be held. I have never witnessed such pathetic services before till I encountered Chennai Foreign Postal Services! Looks like illeterate or sheer lazy people work here. A parcel worth less than Rs 500 was held? That too, it took just 5 days to reach from China to India...and then landed in the hands of these incompetent oafs who have held it for the last 15 days, no update and to add to it the numbers don't work either!! Very Very Poor Service. Poorest service by Customs staff that most products get delayed every time. Very inefficient. Most of the time products are retained & duty charged despite provisions for gift & personal use. People buy with such great difficulty online & these people delay the delivery every time. Happens a lot especially in chennai. So far 3 of my parcels had been retained & delayed in delivery. The government needs to relook into the people working & find a solution so that parcels are not delayed & retained very often.
