I went there around 12pm to register a parcel. Very quick service, since there was no queue. The employee was precise with her work and hardly took me 5mins to complete the process. The parcel reached at the desired destination within 2 days. Charges were pretty decent as well, Rs. 94/-

I booked a speed post at 11am on 6th April for Pune. After waiting for 30 mins on counter, i got the number. I inquired the madam after booking the parcel how much time it would take to reach Pune. She said 3 days. I was shocked. It is only 3 hours journey from Thane to Pune by Road. Why would a speed post take 3 days. There was a big process of Indian postal department. Anyway the story just started now. Today we are at 9th April. I was expecting the parcel must be delivered yesterday to Pune . No. It is not to be found. I immediately checked the tracking details. It showd bagged on 6th April at 3pm. Where is it now ? So I rushed to sandoj baug post office at 3pm. I asked the lady on the counter. Those people steuggled to find the status of the parcel for some time. Then they told me it left MES postal office of Thane on 8th April. It was yesterday. The parcel was just lying in Thane itself on 8th April. See the urgency from postal department on speed posts. The senior and junior of post of told me, don't worry you will receive it on Monday. Meanwhile I called up Pune Ex Servicemen post office too. That was the destination post office. Lady was very polite. She said she didn't receive. it. I requested her to deliver it as soon as she recieves it. So I hope today being Saturday, it won't happen tomorrow. It may happen on Monday or later I guess.. long Indian post office and long live speed post department.. Why are we not ashamed of ourselves ? Speed post Pune.. ??? Let us call it snail post.. I salute Indian speed post department for their worst efficiency.

Only one who finds my address insufficient. Even if I say 'Platinum Heritage, Hiranandani Estate, Thane', that itself is sufficient to find the society in Google. In fact I provided full address. All other couriers including Bluedart, dtdc and ecommerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykya, Bigbasket are delivering 1000 of things in the same address. Most inefficient system in India filled with incapable employees.

Service is a bit slow. Sometimes, there’s only one person to attend more than 15 customers. It takes more than half an hour to speed post one document which is a waste of time.

Staff at the PO is very helpful but they are short of staff. Expect long queues sometimes. If they do not want to deliver speed post, which they can keep pending for days, they just record the reason as "insufficient address could not be delivered". Sometimes it is necessary to collect your speed posts from the post office directly. But they do try hard to help if you talk to them properly and understand their problem.

I born in itself Kolshet Village,being local boy I know everything in detailed from last 30 years.Most of crowd coming to this post office for RD/PPF and other Post banking Services.Post Office staff giving highest priority to Agents (Mostly Ladies ) and they are blocking counters from Morning. lady Agents carrying multiple passbooks collected from their customers and this way they block window for common public who expecting to do work less period of time.So be ready to spent more than 30 minutes here for your work due to agent culture
