Definitely very good service by the officers... We want to apply for a passport online we want to select the date & Time for an appointment before 15 mins we want to go there .. They will call the batch inside we want the waiting hall .. officer verify the name & application certificates . then we want to wait .. within a few minutes. We need to go to the cabinet to take photos & final check .. Finally the officer we put the sign in the application asked to go home . Contact the police station .. very best ...

Visited the center on 21 Dec 2022 for passport renewal.. Appointment time was given at 2:30pm but called around 3:30pm.. Otherwise overall services were good by the staffs.. They are kind & patiently guiding the process and next steps.. it takes almost 2-3 hours to complete the process fully ( have included appointment delay time)

Pathetic Service.. appointment was at 9.30 and was called for only at 12.30..then wats the point of alloting time slots..Server is extremely slow and the scanner machine doesn't work half of the time..they just have one person to verify the details but over 100 applicants on any given time.. absolutely useless centre in Salem..

Absolutely worst service. Appointment given at 2:15 and we were called for the initial verification only at 5:30. The verification officer Mr. Govind is really arrogant and rude. Hope someone takes some action on him. Really poor service. My advice would be go to Coimbatore for any passport related work.

Indiscriminate and poorly organized. One has to wait outside despite being early or on time to the appointment. Not much of space and chairs inside too as at times one has to stand.

Very silent office provided with AC service Applicants can wait inside the office for issuing tokens No need to fear or worry if u apply on your own I applied on my own only through my mobile My experience : 1. First entered into office before scheduled appointment time 2. Waited until my time comes. 3. People before me had some pending task to be completed so I waited above the time also 4. At last went to token section. I met Mr.Senthil as token issuer. Such a calm and patient person. He will guide you what document need for perfect verification 5. Pl make sure that your name , father z mother name spelling must be same for all document especially aadhar and marksheets. Take photo copy of all documents in advance 6. I had some document problem and said the vaild reason . He understood and satisfied my reason. 7. He checked all document and proceed for biometric 8. Went to biometric section and done successfully 9. Taken a photo on their webcam which gives good clarity 10. Finally met senior officer and verified successfully Then got my passport a week after.

The cleaning happens at 10.15 am when people are in the waiting area creating dust pollution. They would ask you to wait outside until the cleaning gets completed. Mosquitoes are present inside, so be sure to protect yourself. Passport offices allow only the candidates inside but there are no such restrictions here. Due to which you might need to keep standing until the end. Strange! There’s no compulsion of wearing masks nor are there any sanitisers available at the entrance. Do make sure to carry your own sanitisers.

Visited few months before for renewal.. And few staffs have been like more impolite and harsh on some visitors who were standing infront of cabins. ​Staffs may be getting irritated as unable to handle the public crowd inside and showing that irritation on few people. Either they should be able to handle it politely, or atleast there should be a security guard who aligns people properly, or there should be more space and chairs to accomodate average expected people for a day. If there is less number of seats, what public can do instead of standing there.? That too an accompanying person being an elderly man nearing 70's, how can he go and wait by standing outside of building , that too durring summer? Also, for calling out the names, we have to keenly listen and wait when they wil call the name. Because there is no mic system or token display, we had to keep on looking at the staffs face to keenly listen if they call my name. Because of other noices, we won't hear their voice properly.

This is not just a review but also the process followed here to renew the passport. Review ******* Under staffed as any other government office. Two people are performing the job of four people, still they managed to do a good job. Though you have online appointment scheduled, you will be delayed cause of understaffing and also due to indiscipline of Indians in general to follow a queue. Random people will walk in without appointment and try to make it before people with appointment, so make sure you can spare at least 2 hrs. in addition to scheduled time. There is no Public Announcement system, so you have to listen keenly for your name to be called by the staff. Also there is no token display system, you just have to rely on your hearing ability. You have to carry a printout of appointment and all supporting document, though the govt passport site clearly says you don't have to carry any print out. (I have been to Bangalore Passport Seva Kendra, where you can just walk in only with Appointment Number & Original docs and get things done) Process ******** There are three counter you should visit for the complete process Token/Enquiry Counter ********************* As you arrive at the Passport Seva Kendra, visit this counter and provide your Appointment Receipt printout. They will verify all your document and suggest any additional documents if required. You will have ample time to make arrangement for the additional documents before you are called to visit the next counter. In case you can't have the required document arranged, you can request in this counter to reschedule the appointment for a different day. Have signed printout of the document and Originals advised in this counter. A1/A2/A3 ******** Wait patiently until your name is called for from this counter. Once you enter the cabin, a picture of you will be taken. All the printed supporting docs will be scanned. You will be provided with a printed passport application form with all your details, which you have to verify the details and sign on both sides. Your biometric finger prints will be collected, left hand four fingers first, next right hand four finger, last the thumbs of both hands. Then you will be provided with the application form along with supporting documents, which you have to collect and wait. B1/B2 ***** This the final counter, where you will be called for. You have to submit the passport application form & supporting docs and also the old passport (incase of renewal) to the officer. He will verify the details and stamp in your passport that "This passport is cancelled" & punch a hole through the passport. He will retain the passport application, and you will get a acknowledgement mail immediately on your registered mail. This concludes the entire process of applying for passport renewal. The entire process took me 2 hours and 30 mins exactly to complete.

The applicants considered as walk-in applicants and allowed to meet the passport officer at Passport Seva Kendra need to fill their passport application form online and must generate the ARN or Application Reference Number one day before going to the Passport Seva Kendra. These walk-in-applicants must carry the copy of printed ARN and should have the original documents needed at for the passport application.

For emergency i mean u need passport in less than 15 days please visit PSK, coimbatore directly because there u get passport on post verification basis (AADHAAR, VOTER ID,PAN (3 ID's must) ) so u will get passport in 5-10days..Here in salem all passports in pre verification basis(first police verification after clear report u will get it)..So it takes little bit extra time to get passport... :-) Thank you.. i visited on sept. end ....
