All facilities such as post office banking, speed post, registered post, etc are available. Although it is crowded, especially late mornings, the staff works fast, they arrive courteous and helpful. It also has a philately counter, but needs improvement in terms of staff knowledge about philately. It also has a counter for Aadhar card related work Parking space is limited

I have sent a parcel through international courier service in head post office coimbatore. At first the in charge person's interaction was very much helpful and explained very well about what to send and what and all can't send, during booking parcel, the person packaging is very much patience and made it perfect, my 1parcel box has reached to abroad within a week and the other within 15 days. The cost is very very less compare to other private couriers, almost 50% I have saved through India post, this is very much helpful to students studying in abroad and for middle class family. This is why we wish all the services should be rendered by government .

I went to send a registered post with acknowledgement. The lady staff there was very helpful, and fast in rendering service. Great service. However the person in charge of doing Aadhar updates has one for lunch for the past 1 hour 15 minutes when the lunch time is mentioned as 30 minutes. This service is pathetic.

I visited the place for updating mobile number in Aadhar. So many people were waiting and there was no token system. The personnel at Aadhar seva centre just told to ensure who is previous in the line. The cushioned chairs were shabby and damaged. Not felt sitting on it. Being the Head post office and shabby chairs lined up in front, does not look good. I think that shortage of manpower for the Aadhar seva centre would be the problem. As the queue was not moving, i called up a friend of mine and found another Aadhar seva centre, and completed my work within minutes. Once the Aadhar seva centre at HPO is manned sufficiently, token system introduced and new seats provided, the ambience itself will be welcoming. Hope the appropriate authorities will look into the matter.
