Date 14/OCT/2022 There is only one person attending the whole line, nobody to respond. People are flocking in directly like wild animals. Our appointment was at 245pm. We reached at 215pm to report. And we are still waiting outside at 430pm. It's horribly managed. Look for some other centre if you wish to apply.

Wow super cool..man is very kind inside a office if u r fresh take 2passport size photo which should cover 85% size of face otherwise they will reject, it's better to take photo from there,nearby passport seva(they know how to take photo according to passport ),10th mask card and adharcard (original and Xerox copy must)..that's all it's just take 15min..

Full details, from appointment to passport, in my hands. (38days) I applied for a fresh passport appointment in channpatna due to the smaller crowd compared to Bangalore. I had my appointment on 14th Dec 2022 9:45Am time. It took only 15 minutes there to complete my appointment. Only one person is working here, so it's better to have an early morning appointment for quick work. Documents I carried : Aadhar card, 10th marks card, and make a colour xerox of it else the person will say something that it’s not visible or something he will say. Please carry other ID proof or address proof if you have it for safety (like DL, Pan, company ID card and other stuff). There is no need to take any photos. After I came from my appointment, I got police verification on the 21st of December (six days later) and I cleared police verification on the same day. After police verification on December 21, 2022, and today, January 21, 2023, I received my passport. Exactly after 38 days of my appointment. I know 38 days is more by today’s standard. I had no urgency. If anyone wants to get their passport done soon (10–20 days), please go to the PSK office in Bangalore. It’s so quick compared to here. As Channapatna it's a post office psk so it will take time. I hope this helps.

Please get the appointment in PSK Bangalore because passport process is very slow in Channapatna as they just collect the documents and send to Bangalore RPO for verification and it takes months to finish the document verification.

I went to this centre to renew my child's passport who is a minor. I selected this place just because mysore and bangalore didnt have slots during that time. (Jan mid) police verification and all went on smoothly but still we haven't received the passport. When we try to check the status, we see that its under verification at Bangalore RPO for 3 weeks. We tried reaching to the customer support several times but all the calls ended in vain. We were told to take an appointment at bangalore RPO to know the reason of the unchanged status and delay. The appointment slot for enquiring about this issue is not available for next 2 months. We are trying our best to get our passport at the earliest. I recommend others to choose Mysore or Bangalore Passport office for applying or renewal. Do not choose small offices because the files go from these small centres to main centres which will delay the entire process. Where as my younger baby's passport application was done at mysore centre and everything got cleared and got the passport within two weeks. Entire process was smooth. The officers at Chanpatna centre were good and cooperative.

Newly opened Post Office Passport Seva Kendra(POPSK) inaugurated on 01-March-2019. Very customer friendly and efficient. Right now, only biometrics are being taken. So, 2 copies of Passport size Photo submission is very much necessary. Old passport will be returned with the cancelled seal stamped in it.

This review is for people choosing a Post Office PassPort Seva kendra for their application appointment and especially for bengaloreans who may prefer this centre owing to huge backog in Bangalore Passport seva kendras. This is a mere documents collection center and the process is purely manual with original document verification + photocopies with photographs collection.They would then send the documents to Bangalore RPO for further processing, digitization and the whole process could take 15-25 working days because of the manual effort. If you have an urgent need, please avoid POPSK, choose PSK in Bangalore, Hubli, Mangaluru. Hyderabad, chennai have lesser backlogs and you could get appointment in less than 2-3 days. However the staff in this particular center have been very helpful, patient and polite.5 stars for them.

The moment you enter this office, you will meet a person with Singham style mustache. He is so down to earth person and very polite too. I went there for my passport renewal because in Bangalore you will get appointment after one month. Here is the complete guide. How to reach? From Bangalore you can either take train or bus. Trains are available at 7am and 7.20 am. It reaches within 1hr. General ticket fare is 35Rs and you can travel in sleeper. Sleeper coaches are completely empty, no issues with Train TTE. Once you reach Channapatna station, you can walk for 5 min to reach POPSK. Office opens sharply at 9.30 am. No matter what slot you get, please reach by 9.30. It might help you to finish off soon. Documents required? 2 passport size photo is must. It must HAVE 85 PERCENT OF YOUR FACE COVERED WITH WHITE BACKGROUND. Even if you forget, there is nearby photo studio that opens before 9am (8 photo 70Rs or 32 photo 100Rs). There is a xerox shop nearby too. Keep all originals and one self attested photo. Verification is hassle free. There is a return train after 2.30pm only. If you finish off early, take a bus. Bus stand is just 3 min walk. Channapatna to satellite bus station 50Rs. Satellite bus station to majestic 10rs. All pictures are attached. Please go to this POPSK if you dont want to wait for 1 month for appointment in Bangalore. 21 may- visited channapatna POPSK 23 may- reached bangalore PSK 24 jun- Police verification request raised 26 jun- passport printed and dispatched on same day 27 jun- passport received.
