India Post is a government-operated postal system in India, part of the Department of Post under the Ministry of Communications. Generally known as the Post Office, it is the most widely distributed postal system in the world. Warren Hastings had taken initiative under East India Company to start the Postal Service in the country in 1766. It was initially established under the name "Company Mail". It was later modified into a service under the Crown in 1854 by Lord Dalhousie. Dalhousie introduced uniform postage rates (universal service) and helped to pass the India Post Office Act 1854 which significantly improved upon the 1837 Post Office act which had introduced regular post offices in India. It created the position of Director General of Post for the whole country. Madanapalli post office is located at mallikarjuna circle after the BSNL office.

Rating it a star is also waste, Please train the staff ,How to receive/respond to a customer query ! Absurd behaviour by staff. Not certain why they are such aggressive all the time. I've probably visited it thrice, they have always been such aggressive. Have some basic sense. That one bloody star is just for ur worthless sevice !

Very bad experience with the staff..... Especially with accounts branch staff.... They were not ready to obey the orders of Head post Master also.. They keep on trying to avoid work and as well as the customers.... By telling them unnecessary rules for passing of claims etc....... Very bad experience......

Sevices are good. But it's better to keep sign boards at counters which will help the people to identify where should they go for their services. As well notice boards or banners displaying the schemes, services full details will help people a lot.
