I have been visiting the Post Office in Mira Road frequently, and my recent experiences have been far from satisfactory. The interior planning of this post office is undoubtedly the worst I have seen. The slow internet connectivity adds to the frustration, making even simple tasks time-consuming. During my recent visit, I was appalled by the condition of the building. The walls were falling apart, and it felt like the whole structure could collapse at any moment. The place emitted a foul smell, creating an unpleasant environment for visitors. What worried me the most was the haphazard wiring, with no protective layers or support, which is a serious safety concern. The lack of maintenance was evident everywhere. The ground floor, where financial transactions take place, was in desperate need of repair. Staff members were sitting on broken chairs, and the cramped counter space made their work even more difficult. The overall cleanliness of the post office was deplorable. The tables and waiting chairs seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. I was dismayed by the behavior of the staff, as they seemed slow in their processes and unresponsive to urgent requests. It was disheartening to witness the poor working conditions they were subjected to. One incident that particularly stood out was the unavailability of cheques for their customers. The staff explained that they were waiting for some approval to issue cheques for post office. This raised concerns about the efficiency and management of the post office. How is it possible that they have such a shortage of cheques on a daily basis? As someone who cares about the safety and well-being of my family members, who also visit this post office, I strongly urge the authorities to inspect this place urgently. The lack of maintenance and disregard for safety could lead to unfortunate incidents in the future. I sincerely hope that the necessary repairs are carried out promptly, providing the staff and visitors with a safer and more comfortable environment. This review is not meant to criticize without reason but rather to express genuine concern and a request for necessary improvements. As an essential service provider, the post office must prioritize the welfare of its staff and customers alike. I hope the authorities take immediate action to address these issues and restore this post office to a functional and safe place for everyone.
