It's an old post office. One of the first I'm this town. There are over hundred employees but u can't expect any work done from most of them. Most of them will be simply sitting without a job. Even if u ask them something, they act very dumb and send you to the next counter. Best is to avoid the post office in India and go only with the pvt courier service. It's better if passport and other aadhar services switch to the pvt sector.

It's one of the two head post offices in vizag.its popularly known as velampeta head post office. Located in the old town between poorna market and kotha road.its the only post office where you can get all the products like savings bank, booking of all categories of articles including to foreign countries.Aadhar enrollment, TTD darshan booking available in this office. there is a night post office also where you can get services till 1930hrs. The regional philatelic bureau is also here where the philatalists can have all the latest stamps etc. The Western Union Money transfer is available here.good ambience and hospitality , responsive staff.
