Runni Saidpur is a city and a block located in Sitamarhi district, Bihar, India. It is situated on the southern bank of Lakhandi river. National Highway 77, National Highway 77 connecting Sonabaras-Muzaffarpur-Hajipur-Patna-Gaya-Chandwa, National Highway 77 passes through Runni Saidpur. Thus it is the gateway to Sitamarhi and parts of Nepal. Though it is managed by Gram Panchayat, it is far more developed than many small towns run by Nagar Panchayat. It is much larger than Belsand which is a nearby sub-division. Runni is the name of another village which is one mile south of it. The name of the block is Jointly Chalani Saidpur. In the early days there were a large number of mango orchards in this area. It is the educational center of the region. Along with government schools, there are many private and government schools as well. Ramdaon High School, Morsand, Runisaidpur, Sitamarhi (10+2, Government High School), Gyan Bharti Public School, Awasiya Vidya Bharti and DAV Public School (Junior Wing, Senior Wing) are the three major educational institutions that cater to the needs of education.
