Purnia is the oldest and main post office of the district. There is a post office with modern facilities. Banking facility is also available here. Due to being in the heart of the city, it is not far from the reach of the people.

Well maintained area . Quite busy during daytime . Post office bank is also located here . You can also make enquiries about your courier deliveries. Good maintained garden area is there which contributes to greenery around it. It is situated between a very busy place. Overall experience was good. Sometimes it showed delivered whereas I haven't got my order but when i visited to Post office to make enquiry about it staffs were helpful.

Head post office of Purnea having limited stamps, no gum/glue to stick envelopes, stamps. Appearance is not so good. If you need to seal envelope you have to buy from outside. However, I feel lucky, as one lady helped me to fix the envelope. The place looks like pure government department...
