Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme a boon for secure future of daughters Under this scheme, accounts can be opened for a maximum of 2 daughters, deposits can be made in one account from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year. Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme is a boon for the secure future of the girl child. The amount deposited in this scheme is very useful in getting daughters higher education and their marriage in future. Therefore all the eligible persons should open their daughter's account under this scheme. Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme is a part of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign. This is a good initiative by the government for domestic savings. Sukanya Samriddhi account can be transferred from one post office to another post office free of cost. The interest on the deposit is completely tax free and is also exempted under section 80C of the Income Tax Act. Parents or legal guardians can open this account for a maximum of 2 girls under Samriddhi Yojana. Sukanya Samriddhi account can be opened between the age of 0 to 10 years of the girl child and the eligible beneficiary must be a resident of India. This account can be opened in the name of girl child only. The depositor shall be one of the parents (guardian) who shall deposit the money on behalf of the minor girl child. He said that an account can be opened with just Rs 250, but at least Rs 1,000 should be deposited in each account in a year, maximum Rs 1.5 lakh can be deposited in a year. Money can be deposited in cash, check or draft only any number of times in a financial year. He said that the rate of interest has been kept at 7.6 for the financial year 2020-21 in this scheme, which can also be increased as per the decision of the government. The interest on the deposited amount in Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme is calculated annually. Parents can deposit money in this account only for 14 years and this account will mature in 21 years. Sukanya Samriddhi account can be transferred from one post office to another post office free of cost. The interest on the deposit is completely tax free and is also exempted under section 80C of the Income Tax Act. After 18 years, half of the deposit can be withdrawn for the higher education of the girl child and at the time of marriage. This account can be closed from the date of its opening until the girl attains the age of 21 years and after her marriage. He told that for opening the account, birth certificate of the girl child, proof of address of the guardian and photo identity card (PAN card, Voter ID or Aadhaar card) are required. This account can be opened in post office or authorized banks. More and more Sukanya Samriddhi accounts should be opened for the safe and happy future of the daughters.

This is the main post office of kurukshetra City. You need to submit your post here only if you don't want any type of delay from your local post office box. The post office is in good condition and located on the railway road. You can come by a two wheeler or four wheeler easily. Basic facilities are also available here.
