I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding a recent air cargo shipment (Consignment Number: V96285261) from Calicut to Tripura, booked on July 15, 2025. The parcel, containing a silver chain, skincare products, a raincoat, and dates, was intended for urgent delivery by July 19, 2025, as the recipient would be there until July 21, 2025, before departing abroad. I specifically chose air cargo due to the time-sensitive nature of this delivery. To my dismay, the parcel has been held under "vigilance custody" in Kolkata due to the presence of the silver chain. At no point during the booking process at your Calicut branch was I informed that a silver chain was a prohibited item for air cargo. Had I been made aware of this crucial information, I would never have sent the parcel, especially given its urgency. Since July 19, 2025, I have been tirelessly contacting DTDC customer service for updates and a resolution. Despite my persistent efforts, I have received no concrete information, only being told it's under vigilance. The latest update I received is that the recipient must pick up the parcel themselves, which is now impossible as they have already left the country on July 21, 2025. This situation is a direct result of your local branch's negligence in failing to provide accurate information about prohibited items. This lapse has caused significant inconvenience, financial implications, and immense distress. I expect prompt communication and a practical solution to retrieve my parcel. I have attached a copy of my booking receipt for your reference. I look forward to your immediate response and a swift resolution
